Azula Vela was born from a simple belief.
Art should not be experienced only in museums or private collections. It should be part of everyday life.
After many years working as an artist, living in different countries and discovering galleries, studios and cultural spaces around the world, I found myself searching for a place where contemporary art could exist naturally alongside architecture, design, coffee, wine and meaningful human connection.
I never found exactly what I was looking for.
So I decided to build it.
Located in Huacas, Guanacaste, Azula Vela is a contemporary art gallery and concept space where carefully curated artworks, collectible objects and cultural experiences come together in a slower and more intentional way of living.
Every artist represented by the gallery is selected for the strength of their vision, the authenticity of their work and the dialogue they create within the space. Our curatorial approach brings together established and emerging artists from Costa Rica and around the world, creating meaningful conversations between cultures, disciplines and perspectives.
Beyond exhibitions, Azula Vela collaborates with collectors, architects, interior designers, hospitality projects and private clients, helping integrate contemporary art into spaces where people live, gather and create lasting memories.
More than a gallery, Azula Vela is an evolving ecosystem where art becomes part of everyday experience.
It is a place to discover.
A place to slow down.
A place to live with art.
Welcome.
